It's easy to volunteer with your local chapter. We have standing committees that are always looking for help. Certified PMP's may claim up to five (5) PDU's per year in Category 5: Volunteer Service.

All members can contribute to the profession and to the chapter regardless of their certification status.

There are three (3) levels of volunteerism within your local chapter:
   Board
   Director
   Volunteer

Board members are elected into office and serve a two-year term. The Board for the 2008-2009 period consists of a President, 2 Trustees and the following VPs: Administration, Finance, Membership, Outreach and Professional Development.

Directors have leadership responsibilities within specific areas of the chapter. The Board appoints directors. We are always looking for passionate leaders that have the time and energy to lead the important aspects of the chapter. The current Directors consist of the Director of Volunteers, Director of Website Administration, Director of Event Management and Director of Training. There may be other positions opening up soon.

Volunteers are always needed to staff standing and ad-hoc committees. Examples of committees include but are not limited to:

Professional Development  (Events such as Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner meetings, conferences, workshops, PMP classes)
            - Logistics, Greeters, Bookstore, Speakers
Membership - publish newsletter, analyze chapter statistics, welcome new members, acknowledge achievements
Outreach - market PMI with local companies, organizations and universities
Administration - Meeting minutes, Website, Audits
Vendors - coordinate contracts and build relationships with our vendors
