During this webinar, we will discuss best practices of some IT policies and how they could affect a project. We will cover Security Essentials including Protecting your personal and company's data, using strong passwords and storing passwords in a safe, secure manner, encryption versus hashing, updating and upgrading your software and including it into your projects.
We will also cover how to stay safe online as it pertains to your digital footprint so you can ensure the success of your IT project.
Presenter BIO: Benny Karnes has been in IT for over 25 years and is currently a Senior Security Engineer with Live Nation. Benny is also the President of the 304Geeks, a computer group in Charleston, WV, who put on an information security conference in Charleston called SecureWV/Hack3rCon. He is also a retired Capt. with the WV Air National Guard and was the Communications Flight Commander.
