Scott Carr is the Director of Information Technology for Salem University, where he is responsible for IT planning and operations for Salem’s on-campus and online divisions as well as Schiller International University, a wholly owned subsidiary with campuses in Largo, Florida; Madrid, Spain; Paris, France; and Heidelberg, Germany; as well as its own online division. Previously at Salem, Scott was the Program Leader for Computer Science and Information Technology. During his tenure in this role, Salem launched four new specializations (Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Software Development, and Enterprise Networking) and established a Cisco Academy. In the interim, Scott was Dean of Advanced Technology for Keiser University in Pembroke Pines, Florida. In this role he oversaw the development and implementation of multiple degree programs across several campuses. A skilled executive, he has managed numerous projects over the past 25 years and has extensive experience in networking, communications, and website/database design and management.
Scott holds an MBA in Project Management and a BS in Business Information Systems Management from Fairmont State University. He is pursuing a DBA with Grand Canyon University. His qualifications include Certified Cisco Academy Instructor (CCAI) and A+ Certified Technician (CompTIA). A veteran of Desert Storm, he was in the US Army, 11TH Chemical Company, Stuttgart, Germany, where he served as a nuclear, biological, and chemical operations specialist.
